Dr. Aaron Hong
Dr. Aaron Hong is the founder and lead physician of the Canadian Neuromodulation Pain Management Centre (CNPM).
With more than 17 years of experience as an anesthesiologist and pain specialist, Dr. Hong provides highly effective treatments to patients suffering from acute and chronic pain.
Through technologically advanced yet minimally invasive procedures, he helps to achieve long term relief of your pain symptoms without the use of addictive medications.
Dr. Hong was the first physician to introduce to the Greater Toronto Area, percutaneous spinal cord stimulator (SCS) insertion allowing patients to return home the same day. He established the SCS program at St. Michael’s hospital which is currently the largest program in Canada. He has also trained and continues to train several fellows. Dr. Hong is also a member of the Emerging Technology Assessment committee of the North American Neuromodulation Society.
Recognized as a leading practitioner in spinal cord stimulation, dorsal root ganglion stimulation, and other non-invasive treatments, Dr. Hong takes a thorough approach to understanding the root cause of your condition and determines the best treatment program to meet your specific needs.
With extensive education, training, and research experience in anesthesiology, critical care, and acute and chronic pain, Dr. Hong combines his diverse medical knowledge and strong surgical skills to ensure a high rate of success for all his patients. Motivated by his desire to help patients in pain while mitigating the current opioid addiction crisis, Dr. Hong trains residents and fellows in the practice of neuromodulation to follow his standards of excellence with the same degree of precision.
